Moisture Wicking Robes Help Me Keep My Cool – Literally
Most moisture wicking robes are also called ‘travel robes’ as they’re very light and pack up to be almost nothing. When traveling, I’ve been known to tote my moisture wicking robe in my rather large purse on more than one occasion. It gives the airport security guys a chuckle.
Moisture wicking material works by wicking the sweat (moisture) away from your skin and transferring it to the outside of the material where it rapidly evaporates. For me, this wicking material is a must, especially at night or when emerging from a hot shower. Nothing like getting sweaty right after that hot shower. I just throw on this kimono-style wicking robe and I’m feeling great.
This lightweight robe does, indeed, wick away the sweat and, if you do suffer a hot flash while wearing it, this robe can be tossed right into the sink or bathtub for a quick rinse. Hang it up and the quick drying feature means it’s ready go again in just a few hours. Note: you shouldn’t put moisture wicking clothing in a dryer, supposedly. I do and it’s just fine but that’s just my experience.
