Blue Ocean 52Check PriceIf you have a menopausal woman in your life, you’ll gain huge brownie points by installing a Blue Ocean Shower Panel in her bathroom. We just renovated a house in WV so I can officially say we have the nicest shower panel in the state.

Along with the peri-menopause state comes a variety of symptoms, not the least of which are hot flashes and resulting night sweats. On a ‘good’ night, I’ll sleep though but, on a bad night? I’m in the shower at least twice. That’s why I love my shower panel so very much. It makes these showers a nice ‘reward’ after awakening in a soppy wet mess.

What Is A Shower Panel?

Our Blue Ocean Shower Panel is the crowning touch for our remodeled bathroom and a welcome addition for this menopausal woman!

A shower panel is a tall shower insert that attaches to the shower wall. It usually has a few different ways to adjust the flow of water, either thought a larger shower head on the top (which might also have a waterfall feature) and some additional body jets.

The Blue Ocean Shower Panel comes in a few varieties. We bought the one with a total of 3 jets which are each adjustable to the shower taker’s liking. There’s also a larger 52″ shower panel which has 8 jets – quite a big step up from a regular shower head.

What Makes The Blue Ocean Shower Panel So Special?

Well, as one who considers herself a connoisseur of showers (especially in my later years), I love the features of this particular shower panel including (but not limited to):

The Blue Ocean Shower Panel has a digital readout to tell you the exact temperature of the water. Now, the temperature readout is in Celsius while I’m a Fahrenheit girl but I’ve quickly learned that 41 degrees C is the perfect shower temperature for me. This is a wonderful feature if you’re bathing the very young or the very old -there’s no chance of putting them in a scalding hot bath.Note; Evidently, there is a way to change the reading to Fahrenheit but it involves messing with the panel before it’s on the wall. To be quite honest, I didn’t have any problem getting used to adjusting to the exact water temperature when the readout was in Celsius.There’s no need for a separate faucet for the tub as there’s one included with this shower panel.
There’s a hand held shower attachment included with the Blue Ocean Shower Panel so it makes it very easy to wash my dogs.
There’s a myriad of ways to customize your shower – the overhead rain shower, the handheld shower head (there’s 3 separate settings from regular shower to misting), the shower jets and the tub spout.
The Blue Ocean comes in a variety of colors for their shower panel including red, black, blue (shown above), or silver (shown below). They even have a bamboo shower panel that looks beautiful!

The Things You Need To Know Before Buying The Blue Ocean Shower Panel

There was a small learning curve when we first purchased and installed this shower into our newly renovated bathroom. Here’s what we figured out:

The instructions are sorely lacking in depth. We had a handyman doing our bathroom renovations and it took him about 2 hours to figure out how to install this shower. Of course, in WV, he’d never seen one or even heard of one so there was definitely a learning curve to the installation.
You can’t have more than one shower feature going at once – this means that, if the handheld shower is being used, you can’t turn on the jets also. I’m sure this is due to the fact that there would be no water pressure at all if more than one shower feature worked.
If you’re going to use different features of the Blue Ocean Shower Panel, make sure to run warm water through them before stepping into the shower or you’ll get a small blast of cold water.
